The conference brought together speakers from 14 countries in SE Europe and the wider region, as well as influential international organizations and institutes like the IEA and the Oxford Institute of Energy Studies
As the 14th SEE Energy Dialogue kikcks off today in Thessaloniki, Greece’s northern commercial capital, interest from major energy players and participants is growing by the minute. Some 64 speakers, moderators and panelists will be taking the floor while more than 200 attendees with physical presence and online have already registered to follow the proceedings. The conference, which is backed by a group of 16 sponsors, supporters and media partners will focus on the region’s energy security, energy supply and decarbonisation issues. Also central to the themes of this two day event is the functioning of the electricity and gas markets, including power exchanges andgas trading hubs but also electricity and gas infrastructure. Considerable emphasis is also placed on Renewable energy Sources (RES), energy efficiency and hydrogen.
