Sponsors and Supporters Played Important Role in 14th SEE Energy DialogueThe 14th SEE Energy Dialogue which IENE convened in Thessaloniki last week, on May 25/26, attracted record participants with 63 speakers present or online and some 125 delegates attending, many of them online. This one-and-a-half-day intensive event was made possible thanks to a number of sponsors and supporters which IENE wishes to publicly thank for their generous support

The main Sponsors of this year’s “Energy Dialogue” were Helleniq Energy, Greece’s biggest oil, petrochemicals, electricity and renewables group active throughout the Balkans and the East Mediterranean, followed by «KG Law», Greece’s leading law firm with a strong interest in the energy sector. Also, the «EnEx Group», Greece’s Power Exchange was one of the main sponsors of the event. 

Supporters of the “14th SEE Energy Dialogue” included the following companies and organisations: 

-DEPA Commercial, the commercial branch of Greece’s Public Gas Corporation. DEPA is the original gas company which helped introduce gas to Greece and build all the necessary infrastructure which it successfully operated over a number of years. 

-Elpedison, which is part of the Helleniq Energy group, is a leading power generator and a major electricity and gas supplier in Greece and SE Europe. 

-EXIST, is the Istanbul Energy Exchange and Turkey’s biggest company by turnover. The Exchange is responsible for all electricity and gas flows in Turkey going through its highly successful trading platform. 

-HEREMA, which stands for Hellenic Hydrocarbons and Energy Resources Management Company and is in charge of all licensing and supervision work for hydrocarbon exploration and production in the Hellenic Republic. Furthermore the company is involved in CCS and offshore wind installation licensing. 

-Terna Energy, is Greece’s leading renewables company with a long track record and many GW of installed RES capacity not only in Greece but also in other European countries (e.g., Bulgaria and Poland) and in the USA. 

-IPTO, which stands for the Independent Power Transmission Operator is Greece’s main electricity transmission operator. Currently it develops a wide network of underwater electricity interconnections to all of Greece’s Aegean islands, including Crete and Rhodes. IPTO is also developing several international electricity interconnections including those to Cyprus, Egypt and Italy. 

-Ensco, is a longstanding member of IENE and a well-established electricity trader with many years of experience working across several European countries. 

-Energean, is a leading independent, gas focused E&P company operating in the Eastern Mediterranean, with a strong production and development growth profile. Furthermore it is a London Listed FTSE 250 and Tel Aviv E&P company. 

-SEleNeCC is the South East Electricity Network Coordination Center and is based in Thessaloniki. The Center oversees daily electricity flows across most of the SEE region and is involved in the long-term planning of the region’s electricity networks. The secure operation of the region’s electricity interconnected grid is a prime concern of the Center. 

In addition to the above a number of media outlets acted as media partners and included Energia.gr, Greece’s oldest energy portal, the NE Global portal, the Sofia based SEE News business information organisation and Energy Press, a major energy site.
