Major Energy Companies Support IENE’s “SEE Energy Dialogue” ConferenceAs we are nearing the date of IENE’s major regional conference, the 14th “SEE Energy Dialogue” (14th SEEED), which will be held on 25 & 26 May, 2023, in Thessaloniki, the number of companies and organizations supporting this unique event is growing daily

Heading the list of sponsors is Helleniq Energy, one of the leading energy groups in South East Europe, with presence in 6 countries and a major refined oil exporter. The group’s main activities include refining, supply, and trading of petroleum and petrochemical products, fuels marketing both in Greece and internationally. Helleniq Energy is also active in renewable energy sources, power generation & trading, as well as supply, distribution, and trading of natural gas.  

Another repeat sponsor is KG Law Firm, a multi-practice business firm and the largest legal practice in Greece for over several decades. EnExGroup, another prominent sponsor of the 14th SEEED, consists of Hellenic Energy Exchange S.A. (HEnEx S.A.), the main Power Exchange of Greece, and EnΕx Clearing House Single Member S.A. (EnExClear). EnExGroup has also undertaken the organization and operation of the Greek Gas and Environmental Markets.

The group of supporters includes firms playing an important role in SE Europe energy market. Among them, EXIST, the Energy Exchange of Istanbul, is responsible for managing and operating Turkey’s energy markets, including power and gas commodities. It is considered to be Turkey’s largest company by turnover.

Another supporter of the conference is the Thessaloniki -based SEleNe CC, one of the six European Regional Security Coordinators (RSCs) in compliance with the European Commission Regulations 1222/2015 (CACM) and 2017/1485 (SOGL), the Third Energy Package and the Clean Energy Package. SEleNe CC supports power transmission system operators (TSOs) and their control centres by providing integrated services in order to maintain the operational security of electricity networks in South East Europe 24/7.

IENE’s 14th SEEED is also supported by EnSCo AG, an agile energy commodity trader active in the wholesale power markets of Central and Southeastern Europe (C/SEE) but also in the European environmental markets, established by energy market professionals with efficiency as their priority.

TERNA Energy S.A., another supporter of IENE’s annual top event, is the energy arm of Greece’s major construction firm GEK TERNA Group. Since its founding, in 1972, TERNA has been actively involved in the implementation of a broad spectrum of public and private projects of considerable budget and complex know-how.

This year’s Energy Dialogue is also supported by ELPEDISON.  The company is highly regarded as the first independent energy producer in Greece, ELPEDISON is the result of the collaboration between HELLENIC PETROLEUM and EDISON, with two privately-owned power plants, and one of the most reliable electricity suppliers.

Energean plc, an international hydrocarbon exploration and production company, with a focus on natural gas, is among 14th SEEED supporters. Listed on the London Stock Exchange as well as the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index, Energean is currently operating in Israel, Cyprus, Egypt, Italy, Greece, United Kingdom and Croatia.

Hellenic Hydrocarbons and Energy Resources Management Company S.A. (HEREMA S.A.) is also included in the list of supporters of IENE’s 14th SEEED. HEREMA, established in 2011 and headquartered in Athens, is a state-owned company with the Hellenic State being the sole stakeholder (100%). HEREMA acts as co-ordinator and supervisor, on behalf of the State, for the licensing of Greece’s hydrocarbon concessions and offshore wind farms.
