Romania Imports More Iron, Steel Than it Exports

Romania exported EUR 2.2 billion worth of iron and steel in 2017, which was 28% higher than the year before, according to data from the National Statistics Institute INS.

Meanwhile, it also imported EUR 3 billion worth if iron and steel, a value that also grew 26% year-on-year, local Agerpres reported.

In 2017, Romania’s exports totaled EUR 62.6 billion, up 9.1% year-on-year, while its imports stood at EUR 75.5 billion, with a growth of 12.2%.
