IENE Held its 25th General AssemblyOn February 14th the partners of the Institute of Energy for SE Europe (IENE) held the first of the two annual GMs foreseen by its Articles of Association. The meeting was held in the offices of the KG Law firm, thanks to the kind assistance of IENE’s Secretary General, and KG senior partner, Mr.Gus Papamichalopoulos

On February 14th the partners of the Institute of Energy for SE Europe (IENE) held the first of the two annual GMs foreseen by its Articles of Association. The meeting was held in the offices of the KG Law firm, thanks to the kind assistance of IENE’s Secretary General, and KG senior partner, Mr.Gus Papamichalopoulos. A total of 17 partners , out of IENE’s 26 partners, were present while three more were legally represented and so the chairman of IENE, Mr.John Chatzivassiliadis, pronounced that the GM was in quorum. The chairman welcomed the partners in what he said was the first official Institute activity of the new year and thanked them for their continued support.

The main subjects in the GM’s agenda was a report to the partners on last year’s activities, a briefing on the Institute’s finances and the need to update and codify the Institute’s Articles of Association on account of certain changes which have taken place over the last 18 months with the departure of some old partners and the entry of new ones.

The report on the 2016 activities which also contained preliminary results of IENE’s accounts was presented by the Institute’s Deputy Chairman and Executive Director Mr.Costis Stambolis. The report was unanimously approved by the partners while the financial statement was accepted pending the preparation of the official annual accounts which are to be presented in the June 2016 General Assembly. The GM also approved the codification of the Articles of Association in accordance with a proposal tabled by IENE’s Secretary General Mr.Gus Papamichalopoulos. IENE’s detailed Annual Report for 2016, including finalized accounts, will be published in July this year and will then be uploaded on the Institute’s web sites (www.iene.eu and www.iene.gr)

Upon conclusion of the GM the traditional New Year pie celebration took place with the participation of all present partners with the lucky coin claimed by Mr.Dinos Nikolaou.
