5th Cyprus Energy Symposium: Leading Companies Support this Joint IENE- FMW Event in NicosiaLeading energy and financial companies and agencies from Cyprus and Greece support the 5th Cyprus Energy Symposium, which will take place on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in Nicosia. Leading energy and financial companies and agencies from Cyprus and Greece support the 5th Cyprus Energy Symposium, which will take place on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in Nicosia. The Symposium is jointly organized by the Athens-based Institute of Energy for South-East Europe (ΙΕΝΕ) and the Nicosia-based Fmw Financial Media Way company and will gather political figures and senior company executives, businesspeople and academics from Cyprus, Greece and abroad.

The President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nicos Anastasiades and House President Mr. Demetris Syllouris will open the Symposium. Moreover, Cyprus’ Energy Minister Mr. Yiorgos Lakkotrypis and the Chairman of Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (RAEK) Dr. Andreas Poulikkas are among the speakers of this event, which will cover the latest developments in the energy sector of the country, as well as several aspects of regional cooperation between Cyprus, Greece, Egypt and Israel, vis-à-vis new geopolitical developments and challenges in the Southeastern Mediterranean.

This year’s Symposium, with the special theme of "Cyprus: Europe’s New Energy Gate”, which is held under the auspices of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), is sponsored by EKO, J&P-AVAX Group, Wärtsilä and PWC and is supported by Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority , Cyprus Electricity Authority (AHK), Invest in Cyprus (Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency – CIPA.
