Leading energy and financial companies and agencies from Cyprus and Greece support the 5th Cyprus Energy Symposium, which will take place on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in Nicosia. The President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nicos Anastasiades and House President Mr. Demetris Syllouris will open the Symposium. Moreover, Cyprus’ Energy Minister Mr. Yiorgos Lakkotrypis and the Chairman of Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (RAEK) Dr. Andreas Poulikkas are among the speakers of this event, which will cover the latest developments in the energy sector of the country, as well as several aspects of regional cooperation between Cyprus, Greece, Egypt and Israel, vis-à-vis new geopolitical developments and challenges in the Southeastern Mediterranean.
This year’s Symposium, with the special theme of "Cyprus: Europe’s New Energy Gate”, which is held under the auspices of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), is sponsored by EKO, J&P-AVAX Group, Wärtsilä and PWC and is supported by Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority , Cyprus Electricity Authority (AHK), Invest in Cyprus (Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency – CIPA.
