Latest analyses by IENE focus on Turkey's energy policies and on the Geopolitical Alliances in the East Mediterranean

Latest analyses by IENE focus on Turkey's energy policies and on the Geopolitical Alliances in the East Mediterranean Following the reorganization of the Institute's website (see Announcement of April 6) two separate and timely analyses have been contributed by Visiting Research Fellows of IENE.

The first one contributed by Dr. Charles Ellinas, an independent energy expert and Visiting Research Fellow at IENE reviews IEA's latest Energy Policy Review 2021 on Turkey which was released  early in April by the Paris based organisation. This is a comprehensive report on Turkey's extensive energy infrastructure, pursued policies and energy sector development prospects.

The second analysis on "Geopolitical Alliances in the Making in the Eastern Mediterranean Region" is contributed by Dr. Thrassy Marketos, an energy geostrategy analyst and Visiting Research Fellow at IENE. This analysis considers all the different geostrategic parameters currently at play in the East Mediterranean along with latest political and military developments and draws some interesting conclusions.

Both of these analyses have been posted in the Publications section of this web site and are freely accessible.
