Following that, a Roundtable on Energy Security in SE Europe will be held at the European Parliament, in Brussels, on Thursday, 19 March, marking IENE’s strong interest to discuss ways of strengthening energy security in the region.

Later on, the Institute is organizing two highly topical seminars. Namely, the 5th International Seminar on “Energy & Shipping”, at the B&E Goulandris Foundation, in Athens (Wednesday 29 April 2026), and the 5th Energy Geopolitics Seminar, on the island of Hydra (Saturday 23 May 2026).

This year, Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia, will host IENE’s long-established annual regional conference, the “16th SE Europe Energy Dialogue”, which is expected to take place on Wednesday, June, 10. Moreover, a series of roadshow-type events in various capitals of Southeast Europe for the presentation of the “South East Europe Energy Outlook 2025/2026” are being scheduled to take place from February to December 2026.

A Roundtable on “Energy & Industry”, to be organized in collaboration with the Federation of Industries of Greece (SVE), is provisionally planned to be held in Thessaloniki, on Monday, June 22.

Following the summer recess, IENE’s annual “Back to Business” event will be held in the form of a Networking Reception in Athens, on Wednesday, September 16.

IENE’s annual major event, the 30th “IENE “Energy & Development” Conference, will take place on Thursday, October the 22nd and the 23rd, in Athens.
