The Institute of Energy for South-East Europe (IENE), in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS), is going ahead with plans to organize a conference in Belgrade on October 1, 2026. A prime focus of the conference will be the presentation of IENE’s flagship publication, the “SEE Energy Outlook 2025/2026” and a look on energy market challenges in the West Balkans. This half-day event will take place at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Belgrade.
The conference will bring together distinguished academic speakers, policymakers, industry experts, market professionals and senior executives from Greece and Serbia to examine the major developments shaping the energy landscape of South-East Europe. It will provide a unique platform for dialogue on regional energy security, market integration, decarbonisation and investment opportunities at a time of profound geopolitical and technological change.
A central feature of the event will be the presentation of IENE's flagship regional study, the “South East Europe Energy Outlook 2025/2026”, offering a comprehensive assessment of energy trends, market developments and investment prospects across South-East Europe.
Furthermore, the conference programme will include presentations and panel discussions covering a broad range of strategic issues, ranging from latest geo-economic and geostrategic challenges and the changing architecture of regional energy systems, to the development and deployment of renewable energy sources (RES), nuclear power and other low-carbon technologies. The development of regional electricity and natural gas markets and their progressive integration into the EU's Single Energy Market will be another key area of interest.
