On January 30, IENE’s Energy Weekly Report (EWR) celebrated the publication of its 200th issue. EWR was first published on November 23, 2015 and was quickly established as one of the main publications of the Institute. The EWR is released every Thursday, informing IENE members of important developments in the energy sector in the SE Europe region and globally.

IENE’s weekly newsletter seeks to cover a wide range of topics, including global and regional developments, oil prices and market fundamentals, global and regional developments (with a focus on SE Europe) in oil, gas, electricity, RES, energy efficiency as well as climate change and emissions.

Energy Weekly Report is the product of team work by IENE’s inhouse research team which is backed by the Institute’s Senior Research Associate Nicholas Sofianos who prepares the basic material beforehand. Information is compiled and analysed on a continuous basis throughout the week and is updated on the date of publication.

As part of IENE's mission to provide regular and reliable briefing to its members, the EWR aims to offer an overview and penetrating insights on energy developments covering a wide range of topics globally and in SE Europe in particular. Last but not least, it is worth noting that PPC was the sponsor of EWR from 2015 until the end of 2019 and IENE wishes to thank the company for this important support.
