The Romania Energy Centre (ROEC) and the Institute of Energy for SE Europe (IENE) are joining forces to examine latest developments in European energy policy and regulation and their impact in the South East European region. During a half day conference which will take place in Bucharest on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, key issues concerning global and European Energy Transition, power generation, clean air, transportation and investment in infrastructure and market development will be reviewed.
A select panel of speakers from Romania, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway and from the European Commission has already confirmed their participation in what promises to be a highly stimulating meeting. Subjects such as the difficult, if not uncertain, road to decarbonization in SE Europe, the drive to develop further RES and promote energy efficiency solutions, and the need to increase indigenous gas production inspite of the uncertainties posed by EU's current anti extractive fuels policies will be hotly debated.
The conference will take place at the EC Representation Office in downtown Bucharest and detailed information will be announced shortly through IENE’s website at www.iene.eu.
