The “Prometheus” Awards Ceremony and IENE’s New Year Reception to Take Place on January 30

The B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation in downtown Athens will be the venue for IENE’s established annual event for 2026. The event, which will take place on Friday, 30 January 2026, at 18.30, will include the Ceremony for the award of the “Prometheus” prize, as well as the traditional ceremony for the cutting of the New Year’s cake, in the presence of the Institute’s partners, members, and friends.

The “Prometheus” Awards, instituted by IENE in 2018, are presented to distinguished individuals who have made a significant and enduring contribution to the development and progress of the energy sector, at both national and international level. Through these awards, IENE honors excellence, innovation, and strategic thinking in the field of energy.

For 2026, the recipients of the “Prometheus” Awards include three senior IENE partners and namely Professor Pantelis CaprosMr. Spyros Palaiogiannis, and Mr. Slavtcho Neykov.

Participation in the New Year event is free of charge for IENE Partners, Associates and Members, subject to prior registration through the event registration platform, which is accessible via a special microsite.
