IENE’s annual “Energy & Development” conference, now in its 27th year, will take place on November 14-15, 2023 and will be held at the Divani Caravel Hotel in central Athens

The preliminary conference programme has just been announced and has been posted on the conference microsite (click here​). IENE’s annual “Energy & Development” conference, now in its 27th year, will take place on November 14-15, 2023 and will be held at the Divani Caravel Hotel in central Athens. This is an established major event for energy policy and businesses and is expected to attract hundreds of high level delegates from government, industry, research, major stakeholders and academia, from Greece and abroad, especially from Europe. More than 70 speakers, panelists and moderators have already confirmed their participation. As usual the conference is backed by major energy companies and organizations active in Greece and SE Europe.

The "Energy and Development" conference, will cover a wide range of topics, including electricity, and gas markets, hydrocarbons, renewables, hydrogen, decarbonization, EV and energy efficiency. The IEA’s World Energy Outlook 2023 will be presented while the geopolitical economic and social implications of pursued policies will be discussed at length.

As every year the Conference is organized under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Ministry of Development and Investment, the Energy Regulatory Authority for Energy, Waste & Water (RAEWW) and the International Energy Agency (IEA).
