Danish wind turbine maker Vestas
Wind Systems said on Monday it has received a
supply oder for 33 MW wind turbines by Turkish
renewable energy company Borusan EnBW for a
project in the western Turkish city of Izmir.
The deal includes delivery, installation and
commissioning of 10 units of Vestas’ V112-3.3 MW
turbines, along with a five-year full-scope
service agreement, Vestas said in a statement.
When operational, the wind farm will have an
annual production of more than 112,000 MWh per
year, saving over 51,500 tonnes of carbon
dioxide emissions on an annual basis, and will
supply enough power to cover the needs of more
than 185,000 people, Vestas estimates.
The order finalises the 207 MW framework
agreement between Vestas and Bosuran EnBW, a
joint venture of German utility EnBW and Turkish
holding company Borusan.
