Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports decreased by 20.66% to 287 thousand tonnes in February 2019 compared to the same month of 2018, according to the latest data revealed by the country's energy watchdog on Friday.
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) data showed that imports to Turkey came from Algeria, the U.S., Kazakhstan, Norway, Russia, the U.K., Libya and Saint Kitts and Nevis. Turkey's LPG production increased in February to approximately 80 thousand tonnes - a year-on-year increase of 30.58%.
Exports fell by nearly 48.03% to 4.86 thousand tonnes in February compared to February 2018. Total LPG sales reached approximately 287 thousand tonnes -- a 0.89% decrease -- in February, including 227 thousand tonnes of autogas, 53 thousand tonnes of bottled LPG, and 7 thousand tonnes of bulk LPG.
