Turkey's energy regulator will
invite applications for solar and wind energy
generation licences from private investors as of
April 2015, local media reported.
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) will
accept applications for solar energy licences
between April 1 and 7, 2015, and for wind energy
licences between April 24 and 30, 2015, daily
Today's Zaman reported on Thursday, quoting the
regulator's head Hasan Koktas.
Koktas said also that investments in wind power in
Turkey over the past ten years amounted to $4.0
billion (3.0 billion euro). The share of wind
power in Turkey's total installed power capacity
of 61,000 megawatts has reached 4.5%, he added.
