Serbia's largest power generating complex, TENT, said on Thursday it plans to shut down the 305 megawatt (MW) A3 unit of its TENT A power plant on July 1 for an upgrade.
The 80 million euro ($108.9 million) upgrade works will last 180 days and will increase the capacity of the A3 unit to 328.4 MW, the TENT thermal power plant (TPP) said in a statement.
The A3, the third TENT unit to undergo an upgrade, is planned be reconnected to the grid on January 1, 2015.
The TENT A power station comprises a total of six units with a combined capacity of 1,650 MW. The TENT power generation complex comprises also TPPs TENT B, Kolubara and Morava. The complex has a total installed capacity of 3,288 MW.
