Serbian coal miner and thermal power
producer TE-KO Kostolac said its electricity
output reached 2.18 million megawatt-hours (MWh)
over the five months through May.
In May alone, the coal-fired TE-KO Kostolac
produced 367,775 MWh of electricity, below the
planned 399,000 MWh, company data showed.
Coal production topped 2.84 million tonnes in the
first five months of the year. In May alone,
Kostolac produced 487,615 tonnes of coal,
delivering 487,610 tonnes to local thermal power
plants, and 5.0 tonnes for industrial use.
TE-KO Kostolac, located in eastern Serbia, has an
installed power generation capacity of around
1,000 megawatts. In 2013 the complex generated
6.45 million MWh of electricity.
