Serbian Deputy Parliament Speaker Vladimir Marinkovic invited US-based
companies on Saturday to invest in Serbian energy sector, particularly
in renewable energy sources.
Marinkovic met with US Senator Ted Cruz
and Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Hoyt
Brian Yee to discuss investment opportunities in Serbian energy and
other sectors.
Marinkovic pointed out that Serbia is interested in
establishing a strategic partnership with the US that could result in
high level political relations and new investments, the Serbian deputy
parliament speaker's office said in a release.
The government and the
parliament of Serbia are strongly committed to the creation of a more
favorable business environment, said Marinkovic, adding that the aim is
to make Serbia the best place to invest in the region reports Tanjug.
