ustrian privately-held power
producer RP Global Group said it has launched
its 43.7 megawatt (MW) Danilo wind farm in
Croatia.
The 70 million euro ($95.5 million) wind farm
has the capacity to supply around 22,000
households with clean energy, as annual
production is expected to reach 100 gigawatt
hours, RP Global said in a statement made
available to SeeNews on Monday.
Danilo wind farm is located 15 kilometres away
from the southern town of Sibenik. It was
financed with the proceeds of a loan from the
International Finance Corporation (IFC),
UniCredit Bank and local Zagrebacka Banka.
RP Global also said it plans to start the
construction of the 34.2 MW Rudine wind park,
near the Adriatic town of Dubrovnik, during the
summer. The project is also backed by the IFC
and UniCredit.
