Russian
state-controlled oil and gas company Rosneft said
on Friday it is not interested at this stage in
the upcoming offshore oil and gas exploration
licence round planned by Croatia.
Last week, the Croatian economy ministry said the
tenders will be formally opened on April 2.
"Being a global company Rosneft is weighting
financially attractive business options in all
parts of the world. The company is aware of the
license round but is not interested in it at this
stage," Rosneft said in an email.
On Tuesday, the Croatian economy ministry told
SeeNews that some 20 companies have expressed
interest in the data room set up for the upcoming
oil and gas tenders.
Croatia has defined 29 blocks for oil and gas
exploration in the Adriatic sea, ranging in size
from 1,000 to 1,600 square kilometres.
