Montenegrin state-owned
power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG)
said on Friday three companies are left in the
race for the contract to build a second unit at
the Pljevlja thermal power plant (TPP).
Talks will continue with Czech company Skoda
Praha, Powerchina Hubei Electric Power Survey
& Design Institute and China Machinery
Engineering Corporation, EPCG said in a statement.
The shortlist for the project announced by EPCG in
December included also a consortium headed by
Slovakia's Istroenergo.
The next phase in the process will include
preparation of draft agreements with all three
candidates as well as drawing up the final
feasibility study before picking a contractor for
the job, the company said.
The capacity of the new unit is planned at 220-300
megawatts.
