OMV Petrom's Q1 Daily Hydrocarbon Output Drops

The hydrocarbon production of Romania's top oil and gas group OMV Petrom [BSE:SNP] dropped to 138,900 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day in the first quarter of 2021 from 150,300 boe per day in the same period of 2020, the company said on Friday

OMV Petrom's daily hydrocarbon production in the first quarter of 2021 was slightly lower compared to the fourth quarter of 2020, when it produced 140,200 kboe per day, the company said in a trading update providing key performance indicators.

Total daily hydrocarbon sales volume amounted to 131,000 boe during January-March down from a daily 141,400 boe in the same period of 2020.

Total sales of refined products fell to 1.15 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2021, compared to 1.20 million tonnes in the like period of the previous year.

The volumes of gas sales to third parties fell to 11.65 TWh during the period under review, compared to 16.08 TWh in the first quarter of 2020.

Net electricity output rose slightly to 1.18 TWh in the first quarter, compared to 1.12 TWh the same period of 2020.

OMV Petrom said it will publish its first-quarter financial report on April 29.

Austria's OMV Aktiengesellschaft holds a 51.011% stake in OMV Petrom. The Romanian economy ministry owns 20.639% and 28.35% is the free float on the Bucharest bourse and the London Stock Exchange.

Shares in blue-chip OMV Petrom traded 0.69% higher at 0.4390 lei ($0.11/0.09 euro) by 1434 CET on the BVB on Friday.
