NIS Tops Turnover List on Belgrade Bourse, Share Indices End Down

Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.

A total of 1,900 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 1.1 million dinars. NIS closed down 0.68% at 581 dinars.

The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.13% at 695.36 points.

No blue-chip index members closed the session up on Friday.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.07% at 1,506.35.

The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 45.1 million dinars ($452,600/383,700 euro) on Friday, up from 27.1 million dinars on Thursday, as 39 transactions were carried out.

Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 10,000 dinars.

Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 43.9 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Friday.

In the period between August 31 and September 4, BELEX15 went up 0.24% and BELEXline rose by 0.29%.

The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 101.6 million dinars, versus 384.6 million dinars last week.

Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 46.8 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange this week, versus 65 million dinars last week.
