IENE Actively Participated in the Global Oil & Gas Black Sea and Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition Held in Athens

This year’s Global Oil & Gas Black Sea and Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition (http://www.global-oilgas.com/BlackSeaMed/Home.aspx), held in Athens, Greece, on 23 - 24 September, 2015, was jointly organized by London-based event leader ITE Group plc and Greece’s largest event organizer, ROTA SA

This year’s Global Oil & Gas Black Sea and Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition (http://www.global-oilgas.com/BlackSeaMed/Home.aspx), held in Athens, Greece, on 23 - 24 September, 2015, was jointly organized by London-based event leader ITE Group plc and Greece’s largest event organizer, ROTA SA.

With the participation of executives from NOC’s, IOC’s and senior government officials from 11 countries, 31 eminent speakers and 30 distinguished exhibitors, this fully integrated event of the regional Oil & Gas sector attracted more than 1,500 visitors and 200 conference delegates. In their presentations the speakers covered latest developments in the Oil & Gas sector in Albania, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon and Turkey.

Besides latest developments in Oil & Gas exploration and production, natural gas transmission and transportation aspects were also covered with special emphasis on LNG floating storage facilities and FPSO.

At this major exhibition and conference event, the Institute of Energy for SE Europe (IENE), besides being the official partner, had also an active role in the conference organization, since its Executive Director, Mr. Costis Stambolis, was the conference chairman while he moderated several of its sessions. The Institute participated too in the exhibition through a well-organized stand, where information through videos, leaflets and access to its website was provided.

The Global Oil & Gas Black Sea and Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition was organized under the aegis of the Greek Ministry of Energy and Environment.
