The new
Greek government, under Alexis Tsipras, has just appointed as Minister in
charge of the energy sector Mr. Panayotis Lafazanis. In the new cabinet of the
SYRIZA-ANEL coalition Mr. Lafazanis has been appointed as the Minister of Production
Reconstruction, Environment and Energy.
Mr. Yannis Tsironis is the Alternate
Minister for Environment and Mr. Vangelis Apostolou the Alternate Minister for
Agricultural Development. Mr. Panayotis Sgouridis was appointed as Deputy Minister for
Agricultural Development.
The picture concerning the government’ s energy policy remains blurred and is not likely to clear before March at the earliest, according to well-informed market sources.
