Gazprom's Production Increases 1.7% Between Jan-Aug

Russian Gazprom's natural gas production increased by 1.7% to 331 billion cubic meters in the first eight months of 2019, the company announced on Monday

Natural gas exports to countries outside the former Soviet Union decreased by 4.5% to 127.3 billion cubic meters. Last year natural gas exports outside the former Soviet Union reached a record high at 201.8 billion cubic meters.

Gazprom is also set to see gas exports further afield to Germany across the Baltic Sea with the Nord Stream 2 project, which Gazprom officially announced is currently 76% completed.

The Nord Stream-2 project plans to have a 55 billion cubic meter capacity.
