Slovenia Granting 10 Mln Euro for Energy Storage Systems

Slovenia’s state-owned power market operator Borzen said it has published a call for non-refundable financial incentives to companies for investments in the purchase and installation of energy storage systems.

The amount of subsidies available for co-financing investments under this public call is 10 million euro ($11.5 million), Borzen said in a press release last week.

The aim of the public call is to support efficient energy use and decarbonization in the economy by introducing energy storage systems, which will contribute to increasing energy self-sufficiency and greater flexibility of the Slovenian economy in energy management.

The amount of the non-refundable financial incentive is up to 45% of the recognized eligible investment costs, but not more than 225 euro per 1 kWh of electricity storage capacity.

Applications can be submitted via the Borzen's online application from from August 4 to end-October 2026, or until the funds are used up, or until the date of publication of the closing of the public call on Borzen's website.
