Enexus to Build 20-Mwp Romanian Solar Park for Turkey’s Akis Enerji

Romanian renewables installer Enexus has received a deal for the construction of a 20-MWp solar park in Dambovita County, southern Romania.

The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order was placed by Turkish renewables investor Akis Enerji, part of the Ulusoy Enerji Yatirimlari AS group. The value of the contract was not disclosed in the press statement.

Enexus’ scope of work will include the delivery of technical design for the project, equipment delivery, construction execution and grid connection. The company will also provide full operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the solar park.

The Titu 1 photovoltaic (PV) project will be located in the city of Titu and is planned to go online at the end of this year. The project is currently shovel-ready and has in place the required construction, environmental and grid connection permits. Land and financing have been secured, as well.

Once in operation, the solar farm is expected to generate between 24.5 GWh and 28 GWh of electricity annually. The output will be injected into the national power grid.

Akis Enerji already has roughly 200 MW of installed renewables assets across the wind, solar and hydropower technologies.
