Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske (ERS), the power utility of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Serb Republic, has issued a tender for the construction of the Hrgud wind farm, valued at 187 million marka ($110.1 million/95.6 million euro), nearly 11 years after securing the concession for the project, local media reported.
The contract is covering design, execution, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning, as well as the construction of necessary supporting infrastructure, news provider Ekapija reported last week.
The wind farm will have an installed capacity of 60 MW, consisting of ten wind turbines with a capacity of 6 MW each, and an estimated annual production of around 160 GWh.
Bidders have until October 12 to submit their offers, while tender documentation must be requested by October 1.
The project was previously developed with German capital, but Germany decided to terminate its participation in 2023 alongside three other infrastructure projects in the Serb Republic - worth a total of 105 million euro - as a sanction against the entity’s leadership.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
