Albania's Energy Regulator Starts Licensing for 3.5 MW HPPs

Albania's energy regulator, ERE, said it has initiated licensing procedures for two hydropower plant (HPP) projects with a total installed capacity of 3.53 MW, both located along the Mat river in the northern county of Diber.

Local diversified companies Doma Group and Global Interprise Group, both based in Diber, have applied for licences for HPPs of 1.84 MW and 1.695 MW, respectively, ERE said in a notice on Monday.

Interested parties can express their comments within ten days.

Doma Group is wholly owned by Ashim Doma, who also owns one-third of shares in Global Interprise Group, according to the business register. The other two co-owners in Global Interprise are Besmir Doma and Shefki Doma.
