Italian power utility Enel is expecting to receive
binding offers for its assets in Romania and
Slovakia at the end of November, CEO Francesco
Starace said.
The sale process of the electricity distribution
operations in Romania started first and is in
advanced stage. This transaction is easier and is
going two or three weeks faster than the sale of
the power generation activities in Slovakia.
Enel mandated two banks to work on the Slovakia
sale and another two institutions to run the
disposal in Romania. The sale process is delicate
since the governments of the two countries are
co-shareholders, Starace noted.
