Cyprus National Hydrocarbons Company Renamed to Cyprus Hydrocarbons Company

Cyprus Council of Ministers approved the renaming of Cyprus National Hydrocarbons Company to Cyprus Hydrocarbons Company, also adopting the proposed regulations amending its articles of association. The Council of Ministers was briefed by the Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Mr Yiorgos Lakkotrypis, on his Ministry’s intention to amend the Hydrocarbons (Prospection, Exploration and Exploitation) Law of 2007, foreseeing the appointment of non-executive members to the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Hydrocarbons Company, as well as the attainment of a detailed regulation concerning the company’s audit by the Auditor-General according to a Government press release.
