Turkey and China are in talks on a $10-12 billion investment deal for the Turkish Afsin-Elbistan coalfield and power plant project, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz told Reuters late on Sunday.

Turkey's state-owned power generator and Abu Dhabi National Energy Co (TAQA) (TAQA.AD) signed a deal on the project in southern Turkey in January 2013, but Turkey began talks with other companies after TAQA said in August it was delaying the investment reports Reuters.
