The operator of Bulgaria's
sole nuclear power plant (NPP) Kozloduy has made a payment to U.S.-based
Westinghouse Energy System related to a contract for upgrade of the systems for
control and management of the special body of units five and six of the plant,
Bulgaria's energy ministry said.
The $15.995 million (12.5 million euro) contract was signed in November 2013
and is related to the extension of the lifetime of the plant's two units, the
ministry said on its website on Saturday.
It is intended to be implemented in stages in the period 2013-2016.
