Earlier this month, energy minister Dragomir Stoynev said that the energy exchange in Bulgaria is going to start operation within months.

Another startup, the Bulgarian Energy Exchange AD (BEE), applied in November for a permit to operate a power exchange after state-owned grid operator ESO withdrew its application in October 2013 without any explanation.
