Bosnia's Federation Seeks Adviser for Oil, Gas Concession

Wednesday, 30 April 2014

The energy ministry of Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation said it has called a tender for a consultant that will advise it with regards to the planned award of a concession for oil and gas exploration.

The contract would call for the provision of consulting services in conducting negotiations and preparing contractual terms as part of the concession award process, the entity's energy ministry said in a statement posted on its website on Monday.

The value of the four-month consultancy contract is 800,000 marka ($568,110/409,040 euro) without value added taxes.

Bids should be submitted by June 5.

In November, the Federation's government asked the energy ministry to launch negotiations to award Shell Exploration Company B.V. a concession for the exploration of oil and gas reserves.

The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
