Bosnia's EPBiH Signs 6.6 Mln Euro Deal for Upgrade of TPP Kakanj's Unit Air Filter

Bosnian power utility Elektroprivreda BiH (EPBiH) [SAJ:JPESR] said it signed a 6.6 million euro ($9.0 million) deal with an international consortium Hamon.for the reconstruction of the electrostatic filter of its 220 megawatts (MW) thermal power plant Kakanj’s unit.

During the reconstruction, the existing electrostatic precipitator of the TPP Kakanj’s unit 7 will be upgraded with a fabric bag filter, aimed to increase the efficiency and reduce plant's dust emissions to match the European Union standards, EPBiH said in a statement on its website.

The upgrade works should be completed within three months.

EPBiH operates in the Muslim-Croat Federation, one of the two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Serb Republic.
