Romania's Day-Ahead Power Sales Volume Up 21.5% Y/Y in Feb

The volume of electricity sold on Romania's day-ahead market grew by 21.5% on the year to 1.89 million MWhin February, while prices rose by an annual 17% in euro, the country's power market operator, OPCOM, said on Monday.

The average closing price per MWh registered last month was 37.1euro ($40.4) and the total value of transactions rose 44% on the year to 73.7 million euro, OPCOM said in a monthly reportposted on its website.

On a monthly basis, the volume of transactions on the day-ahead market fell 14.6% in Febuary, whilethe average price in euro declined by6.1%.
