Vestas Receives Orders from China, US

Vestas received two new wind turbine orders from China and the U.S. on Thursday and Friday, the company said.

The Danish wind systems manufacturer said a 40-megawatt order for turbine components came from the U.S.

In addition, a 77-megawatt order came from a new Chinese customer for a new wind park project in Dezhou city of eastern China’s Shandong Province, the customer's first wind energy project.

According to Vestas, this is testament to Vestas’ role as a trusted partner in the world’s biggest wind power market and its position as the leading foreign original equipment manufacturer in China.

This new order takes Vestas’ reported order intake in China to more than 700 megawatts in 2017.
