During a three-day period in which wind energy pre-licenses were up for tender, over 200 renewable energy firm attended the rally for a total of 710 megawatts (MW) in wind capacity throughout Turkey.
Turkish Electrical Transmission Company (TEIAS) Deputy Director General Hakki Ozata awarded the tenders for a total of 11 regions in Turkey in the TEIAS office in Ankara between June 21 and 23.
The first day of the rally on June 21 saw Enerjisa Enerji Uretim AS (Enerjisa Energy Production) and Esenguc Enerji Yatırım AS (Esenguc Energy Investment) win pre-license tenders for the building of a wind power plant in the Kayseri-Nigde region with a total capacity of 80 megawatts.
The two companies offered the lowest tender bid on the first day of the rally, and were allocated 65 and 15 megawatts of capacity, respectively.
The second region's pre-license tender for the construction of a wind power plant in the Adana region with a capacity of total of 120 megawatts, was awarded to four firms offering the lowest bids.
Akdeniz RES Enerji Yatırım Uretim ve Ticaret AS (Akdeniz RES Energy Investment, Production and Trade) got 60 MW while CGN Enerji Tekstil Sanayi ve Dis. Ticaret company (CGN Energy and Textile Industry & Foreign Trade) won 32 MW of capacity. The remaining capacity was divided between two other companies, Atasa Enerji Insaat AS (Atasa Energy Construction) which was awarded 23.4 MW, and Gunyeli RES Enerji AS (Gunyeli RES Energy) with 4.6 MW.
For the Aksaray-Kirsehir-Nevsehir region in Turkey, RES Anatolia Holding A.S. solely won the pre-license tender for 60 MW capacity.
Wednesay's final tender was conducted for Ankara-Kirikkale-Cankiri regions, when Jupiterges Elektrik Ur. AS won 40 MW and Simge RES AS acquired 20 MW.
- Second day pre-license tender
On the second day of the pre-licensed tenders, over 70 firms competed for a total of 170 MW capacity.
Only four were awarded for pre-licenses in Edirne, Tekirdag and the Kirklareli regions.
Feslegen Yenilenebilir Enerji ve Elektrik Uretim AS (Feslegen Renewable Energy and Electric Production) was allocated 40 megawatts of pre-license capacity for the Edirne region.
For the Tekirdag region where a total of 60 MW was up for grabs, two companies won the tender - Kaktus Yenilenebilir Enerji ve Elektrik Uretim AS (Cactus Renewable Energy and Electric Production) was awarded 49.5 MW and the remaining 10.5 MW went to Buket Yenilenebilir Enerji ve Elektrik Uretim AS (Buket Renewable Energy and Electric Production).
The tender for 70 MW capacity in the Kirklareli region was won by RES Anatolia Holding AS.
- Final day's tenders
Over 60 companies competed for a total of 220 MW capacity on the last day of the pre-license tender on Friday.
For the Sivas region, Pelit Yenilenebilir Enerji ve Elektrik Uretim AS (Pelit Renewable Energy and Electric Production) won the 80 MW capacity available. With a total of 40 MW capacity for the Tokat region, Grgn Yenilenebilir Enerji ve Elektrik Uretim AS (Grgn Renewable Energy and Electric Production) was allocated 40 MW of capacity.
The pre-licenses for the entire 50 MW capacity in the Ordu region were shared by two companies. Ozgul Kamelya Yenilenebilir Enerji ve Elektrik Uretim AS (Ozgul Kamelya Renewable Energy and Electric Production) won the majority 40 MW capacity while Baysal Elektrik Uretim AS (Baysal Electric Production) obtained the remaining 10 MW.
The final pre-license tender for 50 MW was held for the Bilecik-Eskisehir-Kutahya regions, and was awarded to RES Anatolia Holding AS.
After the three-day rally, a total of 710-megawatt pre-licenses were awarded in 11 regions.
