Tesla's Supercharger Global Network Up 72% Since 2017

Tesla deployed 1,320 superchargers around the globe as of July 4, increasing its supercharger network by 72 percent since the beginning of 2017, according to the supercharger tracker Supercharge.info data Thursday.

The data showed that the number of Tesla superchargers globally was 769 on Jan. 1 last year. This number gradually increased 46 percent from the end of 2017 to reach 1,126 on Jan. 1, 2018. Out of the current number of 1,320 superchargers worldwide, 612 are located in the U.S., 417 in Europe and 291 in Asia Pacific countries.

Excluding the U.S. and China, France has the biggest number of superchargers with 65. Germany follows France with 61, Canada with 52, the U.K. with 49 and Norway with 46.

The data showed that Tesla deployed 10,576 supercharger stalls as of July 3 around the globe, which means an increase of 107 percent since the beginning of 2017. The number of Tesla supercharger stalls globally was 5,117 on Jan. 21 last year.

The automaker plans to deploy superchargers in 10 provinces in Turkey including Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Balikesir, Sakarya, Konya, Antalya, Bursa, Aydin and Edirne, Tesla previously announced.
