Providing Stable Sources of Energy Supply Important for Serbia

Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received U.S. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Bureau of Energy Resources Mary Warlick, who is on a visit to Serbia. The main topic of discussion was the issue of energy security of the Republic of Serbia and the Western Balkans.

In this regard, Warlick conveyed the support of the United States to diversification of sources of gas supply and other energy products, which is rated as important for the long-term stability of all countries in the region.

Dacic stressed that it is important for Serbia, as well as for the region, to provide long-term stable sources of energy supply.

In this sense, Serbia is ready to participate in projects in order to ensure the future and welcomes any support and assistance in this regard, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports the Government.
