Over 22M Cars, Trucks on Turkish Roads

The number of vehicles registered on the roads in Turkey surpassed 22 million in October 2017, according to the country's statistics authority on Tuesday.

In October, a total of 110,743 vehicles were registered, including both old and new models, Turkish Statistical Institute's (TurkStat) data showed.

Cars made up 54 percent of the total number of vehicles, and small trucks constituted 16.4 percent in the month.

Overall, cars accounted for 58.8 percent of the total number of vehicles; small trucks constituted 17.3 percent; motorcycles 12.6 percent; tractors 7.2 percent; trucks, minibuses and buses 4.1 percent.
