IENE’s «South East Europe Energy Outlook 2016 - 2017»: First Presentation to Be Held in Athens on December 14th, 2016

On Wednesday, December 14, the Institute of Energy for SE Europe (IENE) is organizing in Athens, a special presentation of its major reference study «South East Europe Energy Outlook 2016 - 2017» (SEEEO 2016-2017). The presentation will take place at the Giannos Kranidiotis Amphitheatre at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at 12:00, noon. Senior business executives, energy experts, representatives of foreign embassies, as well as IENE members and associates and contributors to the «South East Europe Energy Outlook 2016 - 2017» study will participate in this special IENE event. PPC, DEPA and IGI Poseidon are the event sponsors.

The study presentation will be made by an IENE team comprising IENE’s Executive Director, Mr. Costis Stambolis, the chairman of the Institute’s Scientific Committee, Prof. Pantelis Capros and by IENE’s Secretary General, Mr. Gus Papamihalopoulos with a panel discussion to follow.

«South East Europe Energy Outlook 2016 - 2017» provides a thorough and comprehensive insight of the region’s energy sector and contains a huge amount of data including energy demand and supply projections and investment estimates until 2025 for a whole range of energy applications. The present Outlook is regarded as a major IENE reference study, a kind of energy atlas for the whole SE European region. The study presentation will focus on key areas of the study including sectorial analysis, the region’s energy mix and investment prospects of the whole energy sector in the SE European region.

Funding for the Study came from a group of sponsors which have included the following companies: Hellenic Petroleum (HELPE), Public Power Corporation (PPC), Public Gas Corporation (DEPA), while supporters included: Terna Energy, LAGIE (The Electricity Market Operator) Energean Oil & Gas and KG Law Firm.

In the first quarter of 2017, a series of road shows are planned in Sofia, Bucharest, Belgrade, Istanbul, Vienna and other cities in the broader region. Details will be announced through IENE’s website.
