IENE’s seminal study on the energy situation in SE Europe, the “SE Europe Energy Outlook 2016/17”, was presented in a special afternoon event organized in co-operation with the Romania Energy Centre (ROEC) at Bucharest University of Economic Studies on October 24The event commenced with opening remarks by Eugenia Gusilov, Director of ROEC and a welcome address by Professor Marius Profiroiu, Vice-Rector of Bucharest University for Economic Studies. The full presentation of the "Outlook” followed which was delivered by Mr. Costis Stambolis, Executive Director of IENE and Mr. Nicholas Sofianos, Head of Research at IENE. A lively discussion ensued with the participation of Professor Ionut Purica, Energy Expert of the Romanian Academy, Ms. Eugenia Gusilov and Mr. Valeriu Binig, Business Advisory Partner and Energy Industry Lead of Enrst & Young Romania.
The event concluded with a cocktail reception which IENE hosted at the adjacent Sheraton Hotel.
