A new web site was launched today by the Institute of Energy for SE Europe (IENE) which uses the well known eu domain designation (tld). This English only web-site, www.iene.eu, is totally different in terms of design and philosophy from the one which has been in use until now.
IENE’s new site contains detailed information on IENE’s mission and objectives, its partners and personnel, its organization and structure, its activities and offered services while at the same time it puts emphasis on current regional and international news. An important part of the site, which was designed by Athens based Theratron, a digital marketing agency, is dedicated to IENE activities, including papers and studies presented by IENE associates and staff members in various conferences and seminars. In the new IENE site the readers may also find some topical analysis prepared by IENE but also abstracted from reliable international sources.
Commenting on the new site IENE’s Executive Director Mr. Costis Stambolis said "It was high time for the Institute to upgrade its electronic information content and so improve its coverage of energy developments in the region and internationally. The Institute’s new site which has the important eu domain designation (www.iene.eu) is not a continuation or an upgrade of its existing site. This is a completely new site with different design philosophy and structure which aims to provide latest information of value both to IENE members and the public at large. We view this new site as an important tool in IENE’s constant effort to improve its communication with the energy community and broaden its coverage of the SE European region and also provide a comprehensive range of services to its members.”
