To start with, IENE is convening a regional conference on "Oil Refining, Storage and Retail in SE Europe”. The conference, which will be organized in the context of SEE Energy Dialogue, will take place at The Met Hotel, in Thessaloniki, on March 30-31, 2017. Recognized authorities of the oil industry and well respected analysts from the region but also from international oil companies and organizations are among the speakers of this highly-focused IENE event.
An ΙΕΝΕ conference on "Energy: Investments, Employment and Exports” will follow and will take place in Athens, on April 27, (provisional date), to be organized by IENE in co-operation with the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Panhellenic Exporters Association.
The established international conference of the Institute, the "SE Europe Energy Dialogue”, now in its tenth year, will be held on June 13-14, 2017. Reflecting IENE’s genuinely regional scope, the "10th SE Europe Energy Dialogue” will take place in Belgrade, Serbia. This year’s conference is going to examine latest developments in the "Electricity, RES and Gas Markets” of SE Europe”.
A special IENE Workshop, focusing on the rapidly developing LNG market and the rising interest of Greek shipping for this fuel, will be held in Athens, on July 4&5, 2017, under the title "Energy Security and the Role of LNG in SE Europe”.
The "1st South Aegean Energy Symposium” will then be held on the island of Rhodes, Greece, on October 12-13, 2017, as part of IENE’s agenda to focus on specific geographical regions. In that instance, to examine the importance of the Aegean as an upcoming sea lane of key importance in energy developments in the East Mediterranean. The event will be organized in co-operation with the Region of South Aegean.
IENE’s long established annual event on Greece’s energy market, the 22nd National "Energy & Development” Conference, will take place in Athens, on November 7-8, 2017.
Finally, the "3rd IENE Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production Workshop” will be organized on December 7-8 2017, in Athens, in order to examine latest developments and prospects for exploration and production of oil and gas in the East Mediterranean and the Adriatic.
