On September 27, the Institute released a document with the "Conference Review, Conclusions and Recommendations” of IENE’s 10th SE Europe Energy Dialogue. Belgrade was the city that hosted this year’s "SE Europe Energy Dialogue (SEEED)”, IENE’s long established event focusing on the regional energy agenda, which took place on June 13-14, 2017. "Connecting SE Europe’s Energy Markets” was the special theme for this year’s SEEED, signifying the tremendous effort now taking place in connecting regional energy markets in more ways than one.
The above document contains a thorough review of the conference proceedings which are already available through a dedicated microsite, accessible to all IENE members at http://www.iene.eu/microsites/10thSEEED/. Reference is made to the special topics presented and addressed at the conference’s seven sessions, which covered such themes as global energy trends and regional priorities, the changing regional landscape, electricity market priorities and regional integration, energy efficiency and innovative applications in the building sector and in industry, the challenges and opportunities of SE Europe’s expanding natural gas market, energy investments and business opportunities in SE Europe and confronting energy poverty.
