IENE has just released the detailed programme for this year’s "SE Europe Energy Dialogue”, one of its well-established annual events, which is to be organized in Thessaloniki on June 26-27. This will be the 11th edition of the Energy Dialogue, first launched in Thessaloniki in June 2007. This year’s Energy Dialogue comes at a time when several significant developments are taking place at both global and regional level with profound implications for SEE. Hence, the special theme for the 11th SEEED is "Energy Market Transition and Energy Security in SE Europe”.

The purpose of this regional forum, which is being organized by IENE under the auspices of Greece’s Ministry of Environment and Energy, the International Energy Agency (IEA) and with the support of other leading international and regional organizations and major energy companies, is to bring together high-ranking government officials, senior business executives and energy experts from all countries of SE Europe and beyond. The objective being the exchange of information and ideas, networking and the furthering of co-operation for the tackling of the increased global and regional energy and environmental challenges.

Some 45 speakers and panelists have now confirmed their participation in thisimportant regional conference, which furthermore has attracted considerable attention from organizations and think tanks of international standing.

The lead conference sponsors include Greece’s Public Power Corporation (PPC) and Hellenic Petroleum, with key supporters the KG Law Firm, EnSCo, IPTO and DESFA, while media partners include the Kathimerini Newspaper, the Energia.grand Balkan Green Energy News portals as well as the New Europe Newspaper.
